Morgan-McClure Motorsports and driver Scott Wimmer qualified 36th and finished 20th in the Lenox Tools 300 at New Hampshire Int’l Speedway. This was the team’s highest finish since the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Chassis 83 was last used in competition at Chicagoland Speedway. This will be the second event for chassis 83 in 2006.

“I’m looking forward to going back to Pocono. I believe we have learned a lot since we were there in June. The guys have had to work from notes from past years with other drivers and now that we have been together for half the season and have had some time on this track, I think we will be much better. We are getting the cars and engines tuned more to my style of driving and I think that will start to show as we go back to tracks where we have already been this year.

We have to really focus on getting into the race on time and then we can start to work on our race setup during the last two practices on Saturday. The setup of the car is so important at Pocono with the three very different corners and pit strategy comes into play as well.

I’m excited to go back there [Pocono] and get in the race and get another good finish like last weekend.”
