Kluever will be attempting his fifth NEXTEL Cup start this weekend at PIR. He will be driving the No. 06 3M/Sharp AQUOS Ford Fusion for Roush Racing.
The No. 06 team will be taking chassis #RK-324 to Phoenix. This is one of Mark Martin's former cars, but it will be new to Kluever and the team.
Kluever will be competing in both the NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series races at Phoenix this weekend.
Todd Kluever on Phoenix:
"Running the Cup car at Phoenix this weekend will be a little more challenging for me than the other tracks I've run this year. I prefer the banked tracks over flat tracks since the banked tracks really suit my driving style more, but I've made two starts at Phoenix already and I'll get more track time running the Busch race on Saturday. This car will be new to us since we've not raced it yet, but I'm sure it will be good since it came from Mark Martin's team. Frank (Stoddard) and the guys have spent a lot of time working on it and testing it on the squash rig so we should be in good shape for Sunday."
