3M Performance 400 - Greg Biffle Notes

Greg Biffle Advance
Michigan International Speedway, Jun. 16-18
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series: 3M Performance 400

Greg Biffle
Team: No. 16 National Guard/Charter Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Doug Richert
Chassis: RK-239 (Michigan win ’05, Homestead win ’05, Texas ‘06)

Biffle on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
“Michigan is definitely one of my favorite racetracks. There’s a lot of room for passing and good racing. We’ve had a lot of success there in both the Cup and Busch series. The car we’re taking is a car that we’ve taken to victory lane several times and we had a really good run with it in Texas this year until Kurt (Busch) got into us. I always look forward to racing at Michigan and hopefully giving Ford and Roush another win in their backyard.”

Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
“We’re taking the car we raced earlier this year at Texas. The body damage from Texas has all been repaired and we feel very confident taking it to Michigan this weekend. This is the car we took to victory lane last year at Michigan in the spring race and it’s also the car we won with at Homestead at the end of last season. Another win would be great but we’re also looking at the big picture and right now we’re only 27 points out of the top-10.”
