Dave Blaney on Michigan…
“We took this car to Kentucky last week and had a really good test there. I think we learned some things not only about this car, but also things that can be applied at a bunch of different tracks we go to, so it was good that we went and tested. We tested twice last week, both at Kentucky and at Virginia International Raceway, and we were really happy when we left both tracks. I’ll be interested to see what happens we get to Michigan and are able to utilize the information we gathered.
“I can’t think of too many things not to like about the track in Michigan. It’s fast and wide and there’s plenty of room to pass there. There is usually a bunch of long green flag runs, so if your car isn’t handling exactly the way you want it, there probably won’t be as many opportunities to adjust on it. It’s important to be pretty good when the green flag drops. Like everywhere else we go, I’ve had good days and bad days there, but I like the track and am looking forward to getting there and seeing what we can do.”
