WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE FORD 400 NASCAR NEXTEL CUP SERIES RACE AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2006.

Tony Stewart clinched the $75,000 cash prize as the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the 2006 season. This is the second consecutive season Stewart has captured the overall prize.

Kasey Kahne led five times for 90 laps to capture WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Ford 400 at Homestead. Kahne collected the honor for the fourth time this season.

Kahne finished fourth in tonight’s race, his 12th top-five and 19th top-10 finish of the 2006 season. He will UNOFFICIALLY finish eighth in the NEXTEL Cup Series championship standings.

KAHNE QUOTES: “We finished fourth and I’m a little disappointed. We won WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race and had a good night but I wanted to win the race.”
