On racing at Dover this weekend… "Dover is a track that I really enjoy, I got my first Cup top five there back in ’04. This weekend Rodney is bringing a brand new car to the track, I tested it at Charlotte, it is the sister car to the Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Charger that I raced last weekend so I feel really good about it."

"As a team our confidence is up because we know that we can run well. At the same we put this pressure on ourselves to be perfect and then we have a weekend like last weekend and it is a blow. But we are taking on the chin and not pointing fingers at each other. Evernham Motorsports as a whole has a lot of momentum on our side and we are all very proud of that, but to keep it going we have to stay focused on this weekend."

On the car of tomorrow test…"We had a two day test session at Charlotte this week and it was my first opportunity to drive NASCAR’s car of tomorrow. It was definitely stable out there on the track and we were able get racy between the eight of us that were there, but it still just doesn’t look right to me. You think some thing called the "car of tomorrow" would be all high tech and sleek but this looks more the car of yesterday."

Scott Riggs participated in a two day test session this week of NASCAR’s car of tomorrow at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge Charger has been running at the end of all 11 Cup races in which it has competed this season as well as both exhibition races (Shootout and All-Star).
