On the No. 9 team's plate racing program. “I think it’s pretty good. Talladega was disappointing. We got in that big wreck on lap eight when they tried to go five or six wide. Because we got in that wreck we didn’t really get to see what we had at Talladega, but I know at Daytona the car was handling perfect all day long. We ended up 11th with a car that could have been in the top six or seven. I feel like Ray has put a lot behind our restrictor-plate stuff. The engine shop has stepped up and our cars are good. We just need to keep working to gain more horsepower.”

Kahne will be running another special paint scheme again this weekend, promoting an advertising campaign for Chrysler that will be announced this week. He also will participate in a major press announcement for Chrysler on Saturday.
Kahne finished 11th in the season-opening Daytona 500 earlier this year, after qualifying 27th.
In 2006 Kahne has more Nextel Cup victories than any other driver with four trips to victory lane. All of his wins have come on speedway tracks.
