'CHEEZ-IT' PAINT FOR '5': Kyle Busch's No. 5 Chevrolet will carry a Cheez-It design in Saturday night's Pepsi 400 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway. The familiar "Tony the Tiger" paint scheme will be replaced with red, blue and yellow flames surrounding the well-known Cheez-It logo.
QUICK TURNAROUND: Dean Mozingo, who drives the No. 5 Kellogg's Racing transporter, left Sonoma, Calif., at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET Sunday en route to Concord, N.C. He and Tim Kuhn, a second driver to assist with the long haul, will have traveled 2,887 miles by the time they arrive at Hendrick Motorsports on Tuesday night. As his teammates restock the transporter, Mozingo will spend an evening with his family in High Point, N.C., before making the eight-hour journey to Daytona Beach on Wednesday.
FLORIDA HOMECOMING: Crew chief Alan Gustafson and tire specialist Whit Satterwhite will return to their home state this week when the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series visits Daytona International Speedway. Both hail from nearby Ormond Beach, Fla.
GUSTAFSON PICKS SHOOTOUT CAR FOR PEPSI 400: Gustafson has selected Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 362 for Saturday's Pepsi 400. It is the same car Busch drove in February's Budweiser Shootout at Daytona.
WIN WOULD BE HENDRICK'S 11TH AT DAYTONA: Car owner Rick Hendrick is one of three owners with a double-digit win total at Daytona International Speedway. Hendrick, who has 10 NEXTEL Cup victories at the 2.5-mile oval, is joined by the Wood Brothers (12 wins) and Petty Enterprises (11).

KYLE BUSCH, DRIVER OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG'S/CHEEZ-IT CHEVROLET: (ON HIS PAST PERFORMANCES AT DAYTONA.) "We ran extremely well at Daytona in February, but the finishes I've had there don't reflect the type of cars the team has given me. Hendrick Motorsports has become the leader at the plate tracks and this weekend you will see some strong cars from our stable."
BUSCH: (ON STRATEGY AT DAYTONA.) "We need a good points day. Right now, we're in 12th after a few rough races and we have no time to waste in getting back in the top-10. We set out this year to make the Chase and that hasn't changed. We've tried the ride-around-in-the-back strategy, but when it was time to go race we got caught up in a big wreck immediately. At Talladega, Lap 9, we were taken five-wide and that didn't work out so good for us either. I don't know what it's going to take for me to have a good restrictor-plate finish, but I can only hope it will be in the Pepsi 400 this weekend."
BUSCH: (ON HAVING FRIENDS AT PLATE RACES.) "You have to have friends, otherwise you're fighting an uphill battle. It's hard. You would think you can always race with your teammates, but sometimes cars don't agree and the cars get tight or loose when you're trying to draft with your teammate. Sometimes the cars just don't work well together in the air. I know I can depend on Jeff (Gordon), Jimmie (Johnson) and Brian (Vickers), but sometimes there are some unexpected guys that work well with you and help you race up to the front. On the last lap no one has any friends. It's every guy for himself."

ALAN GUSTAFSON, CREW CHIEF OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG'S/CHEEZ-IT CHEVROLET: (ON GROWING UP NEAR DAYTONA.) "Growing up there, it seemed like everything centered on racing. My dad used to take me to the 24-hour races. After the race, the track would open up the gates at the start-finish line. We used to go into the infield to see the cars and we were able to meet some of the drivers and crews. I guess that's where I started getting interested in racing. I'm proud of my Florida roots."
GUSTAFSON: (ON THE PRESSURE OF RACING AT DAYTONA.) "There's a ton of pressure on these superspeedway tracks. We spend more time in NASCAR inspection lines than we do out on the track. There's so much time that goes into these cars, both at the shop and at the track, and sometimes what goes on during the race is completely out of the crew's control. Daytona is a place where we hope for the best and expect the unexpected. I've never done well there, but hope to turn that around this weekend."
