Pepsi 400 - Carl Edwards Notes

Daytona International Speedway, Jun. 29-Jul. 1
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series: Pepsi 400, Jul. 1

Carl Edwards
Team: No.99 Office Depot Ford Fusion
Crew Chief: Wally Brown
Chassis: RK – 336 (Last raced at DIS in February 2006; Edwards finished 43rd

Edwards on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“Daytona this weekend will be awesome. The Office Depot team is coming off a couple of great weeks and hopefully we can carry that same momentum into Daytona this weekend. I really do enjoy racing at Daytona, although, in recent past, we have just been a victim of unfortunate luck. We are so close at getting ourselves into the top 10 and honestly, that is our number one goal right now. We don’t have many races left, so we have to do everything we can week in and week out until the ‘Chase’ ends. Another good week in Daytona is exactly what the Office Depot team needs to move ourselves a bit closer.”

Crew Chief Wally Brown on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“The Office Depot team is looking forward to this weekend in Daytona. We are returning with the same body style the team took down to the first Daytona. The team had a really fast car in February, but unfortunately they were caught up in a wreck. Hopefully we can enter Daytona this weekend with the same fast car and come out with another top-10 finish. Right now, the Office Depot team is focused on getting ourselves into the top 10, if we collect a win or two along the way, that would be great, but our focus is on Carl and getting him into the ‘Chase.’”
