Robby Gordon Quotes on Chicagoland:
“I’m looking forward to going to Chicago this weekend,” Gordon said. “With Jim Beam's headquarters less than an hour away and having the Harrah's Joliet serve as our home away from home for the weekend we look forward to this race all season."
Tell us about your chances this upcoming weekend?
“Our mile-and-a-half program has really made some strides in the right direction this year. We had some great runs at Charlotte and the other 1.5-mile tracks despite not having some of the finishes to show for it. This weekend is all about finishing for us. We ran very well here last year but a mechanical failure ended a pretty solid run.”
What can you tell us is the deciding factor at Chicagoland?
“I can’t pick one thing that we need to focus on this weekend, but we need to be there at the end and in a position to get a top 10 or a win. With Jim Beam’s headquarters outside Chicago and being the primary sponsor on the car this weekend, hopefully we can put the No. 7 Jim Beam Chevy in victory lane.”
