Robby Gordon’s Quotes on Bristol
Saturday night racing at Bristol always has been a fan favorite. Would you consider it one of yours?
“Bristol is definitely one of my favorite tracks. I’ve qualified on the front row there before and had some solid runs. Bristol is pretty much anyone’s race to win. The idea is that if you can stay clear of the wrecks and keep your nose clean then you can come home with a great finish.”
You’ve gained a lot of momentum in points lately. To what do you attribute your success?
“We’ve made good progress in the points these days, that’s for sure. We’ve just been conscious of it while we are out on the track. Greg (Erwin, crew chief) and the guys at the shop have been working very hard and have given me the cars that are capable of competing with the guys who run in the top 15 week-in-and-week-out. Our goal is to be inside the top 20 by the final race of the season and we are on track to do just that.”
