Scott Wimmer 2006 Event Preview
Morgan-McClure Motorsports (MMM)
No. 4 Aero Exhaust Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS
Race 4 of 36 – Golden Corral 500
Atlanta Motor Speedway
Scott Wimmer on Racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:
“Atlanta is where I made my first start in the Cup series so I’m always excited to
return there. It’s a really fast track and I think we are working toward being more
competitive in the Aero Exhaust Chevy at this kind of track. I feel like we are all
getting to know each other better and that will make us improve as a team.”
Chris Carrier Crew Chief on Preparation for Atlanta:
“We are taking the same car we ran in Las Vegas to Atlanta. Toward the end
of the race in Las Vegas the car was performing great and we want to carry
that momentum into Atlanta. Our pit stops are improving also and we look
forward to a good solid run this weekend. Driver comfort and confidence are
important at a track as fast as Atlanta where things happen fast. We continue
to learn about Scott and our car and think that using this same car will give
us an advantage in Atlanta on having the car set up good for him right off the
truck.”
