Fans Gobbling Up “Sit With Jimmy” Tickets
Second Superstretch section opened to satisfy overwhelming ticket demand
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jimmy Spencer was right – he is in touch with the fans. And judging from “Sit With Jimmy” ticket sales, he’s as popular as ever.
“Jimmy is definitely a fan favorite and he’s setting himself and his fans up for a great Superstretch party,” said Speedway President Robin Braig. “Jimmy said it best when he said ‘What’s the next best thing to driving in ‘The Great American Race’? it’s sitting on the famed Daytona Superstretch with me.”

In response to Kenny Wallace’s accusation in September that Jimmy Spencer is out of touch with race fans, “Mr. Excitement” unveiled his own Daytona 500 special ticket package for the 49th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 18. Since his announcement, “Sit With Jimmy” tickets have been a popular item, already selling out the original Superstretch Lund Section seats. Because of its popularity, seats in the Allison grandstand have been added.
