The NASCAR Foundation Sends Holiday Wishes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Nov. 29, 2006) – The NASCAR Foundation has partnered with NASCAR licensee Wright of Thomasville to offer holiday cards for NASCAR’s 75 million fans.

The cards, which were designed by children staying at Speediatrics, a NASCAR-themed pediatric care unit at the Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, are currently for sale and can be purchased at the NASCAR.com Superstore. A box set of the holiday cards will include three different card designs featuring the artwork of children. The set will retail for $11.99 with $3 from every sale benefiting the NASCAR Foundation.

“With 2006 being the inaugural year of The NASCAR Foundation, we wanted to create a unique item to mark the culmination of our first successful year,” said Sandy Marshall, executive director of the NASCAR Foundation. “These holiday cards truly capture the goodwill of our sport and enable our fans to further connect with the NASCAR community during this special time of year. Not only can you send the sentiments of the season to your friends and family, the money raised from this program will go to help some very worthy causes.”

Wright of Thomasville specializes in NASCAR-themed scrapbooking and stationary accessories and was looking for a way to become involved with The NASCAR Foundation. “We were so honored and excited to be a part of this inaugural holiday card project,” said Kim Grubb, account executive of Wright of Thomasville. “Knowing the compassion of the NASCAR fans we wanted to provide a platform for The NASCAR Foundation to raise additional funds during the holiday season. These cards are a perfect example of the way traditional business can get involved in charitable projects.”

The NASCAR Foundation embodies the compassion of the NASCAR Family and its commitment to serving communities. The Foundation supports a wide range of charitable initiatives that reflect the core values of the entire NASCAR family.
