Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen - Carl Edwards Notes

Carl Edwards Advance
Watkins Glen International Speedway
August 12th-14th 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series
Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen, Sunday, 1:35PM

Carl Edwards
Team: No.99 Office Depot “Back to School” Ford Taurus
Crew Chief: Bob Osborne
Chassis Number: RK-252 (raced at Sonoma earlier this year)

Edwards on racing at Watkins Glen International Speedway:
“We tested there last week and didn't have the best of luck. I backed into the wall early on but my team fixed the car and we finished the test. It wasn't the best test I ever had but I think I learned a lot and I went back and have been playing my computer game quite a bit trying to get better before this weekend. I think racing the Charter Ford there this weekend will definitely help the Cup program. Right now we're in the 'Chase' but that can change quickly so we need to think big picture and just go out and have a solid run in the Office Depot Ford this weekend.”

Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing at Watkins Glen International Speedway:
“We tried a lot of things when we tested there last week and I think we learned some things. I think we'll be ok as long as we can stay out of trouble. Our goal is to qualify near the front and just have a solid finish with no wrecks so we can maintain our spot in the 'Chase'. I think we have a driver that is more than capable of that so I feel pretty good about our chances this weekend.”
