Team: No. 16 National Guard Ford Taurus
Crew Chief: Doug Richert
Chassis: #195 (Raced last month at Atlanta)
Greg Biffle on racing at Texas:
“Texas is an extremely fast race track and handling is very key because of the speeds. If you can get your car going through the corner it can make for a fun day, but if you are a little off it’s no fun at all. I really like the track though. Texas is a fast, smooth racetrack and it can become tight throughout the race. That is one thing we'll have to account for when we practice in race trim. It is comparable to Atlanta and we had a good run there a few weeks ago.”
Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Texas:
“We’re taking chassis 195 because we feel like we had good results with it in Atlanta and maybe could have even won the race. So, we wanted to take it to Texas and see what we could do with it there. It has good balance and good handling, so it was the best choice for this weekend. We haven’t run in Texas yet with the shorter spoiler, so we’ll see what effect that has but I think you’ll see some faster speeds just like we saw in Atlanta. We need to focus on getting the car to handle well and getting in a good pit window because this race can always come down to fuel mileage.”
