DAVE BLANEY QUOTES:
Richmond is the one track that just about everyone looks forward to. What makes it so appealing?
“We’re pretty excited about this weekend. We’re taking the same car that Clint (Bowyer) raced at Phoenix and we think it’s the best car in the house so it’s pretty hard not to be excited when we’ve got such a good car. Richmond also produces an almost electric atmosphere. These types of cars put on such a good show at Richmond and the race track sells out just about every time we show up. You can just feel the energy in the air. It’s a lot of fun.”
You tested your Busch Car at Richmond. Will any of that information translate back to the Jack Daniel’s Chevy?
“Some of it will. The Cup car reacts a little differently to some of the changes but you can get a pretty good idea. What’s really going to help us on the Cup side will be all the seat time from the Busch car. Philippe (Lopez) and my engineer Brian (Bass) will be very involved with Busch car just like they were at Las Vegas. Our whole goal with the Busch program is to win some races and hope the information we gather makes the Jack Daniel’s Chevy that much better.”
