No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

Testing 123: Sterling Marlin and the Coors Light team were at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this week in preparation for the Allstate 400 on August 7th. Marlin turned a fast lap of 178.495 to place him eighth out of 17 drivers testing.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame: Marlin will be on hand when the Lancaster Barnstormers take on the Somerset Patriots at Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Penn. Marlin will be in attendance on Thursday, July 21st for a meet and greet with local fans.

Pennsylvania Pride: Tire Specialist Mike Motil hails from Hazelton, which is northwest of Pocono Raceway.

Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis # 401 this weekend at Pocono. This is the same car they used at IMS Monday and Tuesday for the test. So far this season Marlin has piloted this car to 32nd, 40th, 16th, 41st, fifth, 35th and 15th-place finishes in Chicago, Michigan, Pocono, Darlington, Texas, Las Vegas and Fontana, respectively.

NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin is currently 25th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after finishing 34th in New Hampshire. He is 500 points out of the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.
