Pennsylvania 500 - Ford Friday 2nd Practice Quotes

Elliott Sadler was involved in a single-car accident during the second practice session on Friday and will be forced to a back-up for Sunday's Pennsylvania 500. He spoke about the incident afterwards.

ELLIOTT SADLER - No. 38 M&M's Taurus - "I just lost it. You know you've got to start the car off loose to be good on long runs and I was just wanting to keep trying to drive through it, and I just 100 percent lost it myself. It's a bad feeling. Anytime the guys put so much hard work into the primary car and to come up here and destroy it like that is not good. It's a shame. We've got a lot of good tracks coming up for us and had a couple of good cars lined up for it and now we've lost two cars in two weeks. That's gonna put us behind. The fab shop has been working hard, so this is gonna make them work even harder. We'll just regroup. I think my guys can do it, if anybody, and we'll just have to come out here and get a good top 10 or top 15 finish and move on."

YOU GOT A FEW MINUTES WITH THE BACKUP. HOW DID IT FEEL? "It feels OK. I've run that car before. There isn't anything wrong with that car. It's fine. It drove good and we got it comfortable. We didn't want to take any chances, so we parked it right there at the end of practice. I think we'll be close with it. I don't think we're gonna be out to lunch or anything. We're just gonna fine tune on it Sunday and see what happens."

WHERE HAVE YOU RUN THIS CAR BEFORE? "I ran it at Atlanta and finished eighth with it. I ran it at Texas and was running pretty good until we lost the motor, so it's a good race car. We've updated the body and stuff on it and made it a little bit better. This is the first time it's been back on the track and it's a good car. I've liked it everywhere we've taken it, so we should be fine tomorrow."
