Greg Biffle on racing at Pocono:
“I’m looking forward to running at Pocono this weekend. We had two really strong race cars there last year. The track is extremely challenging and it’s very much like running on a road course. We’re taking the car we won California and Texas with and I think it will be a good car for Pocono as well. Based on what we know from last year and how we are running as a team this year, I anticipate a strong run this weekend.”
Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Pocono:
“We decided to take this car because we have done well with it and because it turns well on the flatter corners. Pocono is a fairly flat track and you need to take a car that can turn through the corners there. We think this is the best car we have for that type of track. We did well in Pocono last year in the first race and then finished fourth in the second race. We’ll use the set-up from last year to build our set-up for this year with the new aero package. You’re not allowed to shift at Pocono anymore, so that will affect our strategy as well.”
Fast Facts
With the win in Dover last weekend, Greg Biffle remains second in the point standings, 46 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson.
Biffle extended his advantage on third place in the points with this weekend’s finish in Dover and now holds a 180-point advantage over Elliott Sadler.
The National Guard/Post-it paint scheme returns to the No. 16 Ford this weekend. This is the same paint scheme the team had on the car when they won at California and Texas earlier this year.
