KASEY KAHNE QUOTES
“We’ve made a lot of progress with our short-track program this year. In the process, I’ve come to enjoy racing on the short tracks, especially Martinsville. We had a very good run there in the spring, finishing second. Success creates a comfort zone.
“With five races to go, we want to race hard and put ourselves in position for another win or two this year. It’s important we have good finishes as we prepare for the 2006 season.
“The pit crew had awesome stops last week at Charlotte. Tommy (Baldwin, team director) made some good calls on adjustments, which improved the car as the race progressed. We had a car capable of winning by the end of the race. We just had a little misfortune.”
