No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

  • Testing it Out: Sterling Marlin and the Coors Light crew tested at Michigan International Speedway two weeks ago in preparation for the 200-lap race this weekend.

  • Racing at the Glen: Last weekend CGRFS teammate Scott Pruett drove the No. 40 Coors Light Dodge to a fourth-place finish at Watkins Glen. Pruett was filling in for Marlin who was at home in Tenn., for family reasons.

  • Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis # 114 this weekend for the second race at Michigan International Speedway. Marlin’s teammate Casey Mears has driven this car twice this season at Atlanta and Pocono.

  • Michigan in the Springtime: At the first Michigan race this season, Marlin was running in the top 20 most of the race before the motor expired on lap 167. The Coors Light Dodge was credited with a 40th-place finish.

  • Michigan Moments: Marlin has seen a significant amount of success at Michigan. In 40 starts he has one win, four top-five and 12 top-10 finishes.

  • NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin slipped to 28th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after skipping last week’s race to be by his father’s side. The No. 40 car, however, is 23rd in owner points.
