No. 40 TEAM FACTS:
Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis #203 this weekend for the Coca-Cola 600. This car made its 2005 season debut last weekend in the NEXTEL Open, but it was a three-time feature winner in 2002 at Darlington, Las Vegas and Charlotte. The car placed 13th in the NEXTEL Open last weekend.
Autograph Sessions: Sterling Marlin will be signing autographs at the gift shop at the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates shop on Wednesday. The autograph session will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Also look for Marlin to be making an appearance at his merchandise hauler on Sunday before the race.
NEXTEL Open: Sterling Marlin battled the handling of the Coors Light Dodge to finish where he started, 13th in the NEXTEL Open. The No. 25 car of Brian Vickers raced his way into the All-Star Challenge on the final lap and Martin Truex Jr. won the fan vote.
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin is currently 19th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after finishing 23rd at Richmond. Due to troubles on the track for points leader Jimmie Johnson, Marlin and the Coors Light crew are back in the hunt for the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup. He is just 394 points back from Johnson.
