Banquet 400 presented by ConAgra Foods - Kurt Busch Notes

Kurt Busch Advance
Kansas Speedway
Oct. 6th-7th 2005 Nextel Cup Series
Banquet 400, Sunday, 1:10PM

Kurt Busch
Team: No. 97 Sharpie Ford Taurus
Crew Chief: Jimmy Fennig
Chassis: #65 (has competed five times this year, including a win at Pocono)

Busch on racing at Kansas Speedway:
"It's a very fast race track. They built it almost too fast - similar to Chicago. It was a sister track supposedly to Vegas, but Vegas is flat enough to where you can run any multiple groove you want. We'll see when we go this time around. I tested there last week. It seems like we're on our own little testing 500, 1500, 2000, whatever we're testing we're making so many laps that we're trying to keep up with all of our notes. Kansas should be a good race for the Sharpie Ford. It’s the last time we’ll run this paint scheme this year, so we’d love to end it with a good top five run.”

Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Kansas Speedway:
“We tested at Kansas a few weeks ago with a new car and one that we’ve run a few times this year, and Kurt liked the one that we’ve ran a lot this year. We worked a lot on our setups during the test because we know this racetrack we’ll get tight as the day goes on.”
