No. 40 TEAM FACTS:

  • Racing Around the Circle: Sterling Marlin will be at Dodge Racers on the Circle on Thursday evening from 7:30-8:00 p.m. The appearance will be outside the Emmis Building at 40 Monument Circle. Autographs will be given to the first 100 people to get a coupon.

  • Coors Appearance: Marlin will be at Champs at Keystone at the Crossing from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. He will be signing autographs for the entire hour.

  • Testing it Out: Marlin and the Coors Light crew visited the famed 2.5-mile track in July in preparation for the 160-lap race this weekend.

  • Indy Stats: In eleven starts Marlin’s highest starting spot is third in 1995 and his highest finish is second in 2001.

  • Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis # 401 this weekend at Indianapolis. This is the same car they used at the test earlier this season. So far this season Marlin has piloted this car to an average finish of 26th in eight starts this season.

  • NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin is currently 26th in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after finishing 28th in Pocono. He is 539 points out of the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.
