Edwards on racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
“I'm really looking forward to racing at Indy. We had a great test there a few weeks ago and I'm feeling pretty good about our chances there this coming weekend. There's so much history at that track, it would certainly mean a lot to run well and win there. Saturday will be a little busy flying back and forth between Indy and IRP but I'm looking forward to it and of course I'm really excited to get back into a Silver Crown car on Thursday. It's going to be a fun week and hopefully we can win some races and improve in the point standings even more. We're headed in the right direction; we just need to keep digging.”
Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
“The No. 99 team tested there several weeks ago and overall I was happy with the test. Carl really liked the track and we ran the fastest lap of the day so that was great. There were only a few cars there but we ran lap time comparable to the No. 97 so overall I think we looked pretty good. To race well at Indy the team has to have a good balance of mechanical grip and aero. More so then a lot of the track we go to because of the long straights and the high speed corners. To race at the Brickyard is pretty incredible. There's so much history there and so many great ‘racers’ have been there. I think being able to say that you've won at Indy is a great accomplishment. I think the AAA team has the potential to run really well there with the package we have and I'm excited to go there this week and see what we can do."
