MBNA RacePoints 400 - Greg Biffle Notes

Greg Biffle Advance
Dover International Speedway
Sept. 23rd-25th, 2005 NEXTEL Cup Series
MBNA RacePoints 400, Sunday 1:00PM

Greg Biffle
Team: No. 16 National Guard Ford Taurus
Crew Chief: Doug Richert
Chassis: RK-275 (won at Fontana earlier this year)

Biffle on racing at Dover International Speedway:
“Dover has always been a pretty good track for me. I had my first Cup win there this June and it was a very special win. We had some soldiers there that weekend from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and one of them had lost his leg fighting for our country in Iraq. I obviously thought about that a lot that day and when we won, it was that much more of an honor to be able to put the National Guard Ford in Victory Lane. This time we’re taking the car we won with at California and it should be another good race for us.”

Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Dover International Speedway:
"We’re taking the car that we won with at California earlier this year. It’s a proven performer and we feel it is an even better car than the won we took to victory lane the last time we were in Dover. We’ll use all the set-up notes from the June race but we’ll have to create a qualifying set up. Qualifying was rained out in the first race this year, so if the weather holds up this time around, it will be the first time qualifying at Dover with the new spoiler package. We just need consistent finishes but we are going with every intention of competing for the win."
