Pepsi 400 - Matt Kenseth Notes

Matt Kenseth Daytona 2 Advance

Matt Kenseth on racing at Daytona:

"We didn't start out the season at Daytona on a good note, finishing 42nd, but I don't think that our finish tells the whole story. We had one of the best speedway cars we've had in a long time in February. We qualified well, in the 14th position, and we were running in the top-five when something in the engine broke. I think we'll be competitive this weekend at Daytona."

Crew Chief Robbie Reiser on racing at Daytona:

"I think our restrictor plate program is strong and the Roush-Yates engines will be fast this weekend. We had a fast car in Daytona back in February until something let go in the engine. We are bringing the same car back this time, and I think it will be competitive. We are coming off of two good finishes heading into Daytona and we have to continue to work our way up in the point standings by focusing on top-ten finishes."
