No. 40 TEAM FACTS:
Coors Light Anyone?: Sterling Marlin will make a one hour appearance from 8 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Cemenos in Joliet.
Chicagoland Stats: In four starts at Chicagoland, Marlin’s highest finish was seventh last year, and his highest starting spot was fourth in 2002. Marlin has two top-10 starts and two top-10 finishes in the “Windy City.”
Last Season at Chicago: The Coors Light Dodge brought home a seventh-place finish in the Tropicana 400 at Chicagoland Speedway in 2004. Marlin worked his way up from 32nd to obtain his fifth top 10 of the 2004 season, and his highest finish at Chicagoland Speedway in four starts.
Double Duty: Marlin will be running the Busch Series race at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. He will be piloting the No. 40 Dodge for FitzBradshaw Racing.
Chassis: The Coors Light team will race chassis #401 this weekend at Chicago. So far this season Marlin has piloted this car to a 40th, 16th, 41st, fifth, 35th and 15th-place finishes in Michigan, Pocono, Darlington, Texas, Las Vegas and Fontana, respectively.
NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings: Marlin is currently 23rd in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points standings after finishing 22nd in Daytona. He is 361 points out of the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup.
