    JEFF BURTON QUOTES:

On Chevy vs. Ford – “I don’t think things will be that much different in a Chevy. I think Talladega is a place where you’ll see less difference in going from one team to another than maybe some other tracks. I think the learning curve for us this weekend is relatively small, it’s one of the easiest tracks as far as the team communication goes. There is very little the driver can really impact in making the car go fast during qualifying. Handling really doesn’t come into play that much, it’s more a matter of staying in the right line. During the race it’s a different story, the driver can make a huge impact. But the biggest things are aerodynamics, positioning of the body and horsepower. But it takes a combination of everything. You have to have it all to run fast at Talladega.

What does it mean to run for RCR at Talladega? – “The superspeedway program here at RCR has been stellar. It’s really been something to look at with a lot of envy. The DEI teams have kind of taken the lead here in the last few years, but RCR is always up there. To be honest, I really don’t know what to expect. Really I just go to Talladega a dumb driver, I don’t know much about the superspeedway cars here at RCR, but in the end it really doesn’t matter since the driver isn’t that much help. We’ll just see what we have when we get there.”

On the new spring rules – “I don’t think it’s going to have a major impact. I don’t think the fans will know the difference. I think it’s a procedure that NASCAR is doing to try to limit even more what the teams can do, to try to eliminate some people “fudging rules”. I honestly think it will end up having a very little impact on the race.”
