Jeff Burton on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
“It's always cool going to Michigan since its home to Roush Industries. It's kind of like Roush Racing's 'home' track. I like racing there, it's a nice wide track that allows for three and sometimes even four-wide racing which makes it exciting for the fans. The No. 99 team has been digging all year and we've definitely been showing improvements over the last several races. I think we're going in the right direction, just not as quickly as we would like or need to."
Crew Chief Bob Osborne on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
“Michigan is a long, smooth track. On new tires the track will probably be fast and as the race wears on the track generally goes to the tight side. Long race runs will be hard on the front tires and cars will become a handful if not prepared.
"The 99 team is working hard to improve the aero package of the racecars. The crew members are focused and have their chins high as they tackle the tasks at hand. There have been many long nights put in at the shop in an effort to improve the cars and the crew understands that all of the work will pay off. Everyone looks forward to the next weekend as we make improvements."
