“Both programs are carrying a ton of momentum into the Lowe’s races this weekend. We had an incredible weekend at Kansas and had a legitimate shot to win both races. We came up just a bit short on both sides but we’re very pleased with the third-place finish on Sunday. To run that well all weekend long does a tremendous amount for everyone’s confidence and we’re looking forward to keeping it going on Friday and Saturday night. I really like Lowe’s and it’s important for everyone to run good there because most of us live here. It’s our hometown event and the drivers and crews want to perform their best in front of their families and friends. We’re taking a new racecar that we think will be perfect for this race based on how it ran when we tested there last week. We just missed winning one last week and we’re all hoping to go back and repeat that performance this weekend.”

"We're taking this car because it has a new areo-balance that we feel will be suitable for Charlotte. We tested it there a couple of weeks ago and feel it has a good balance. We didn't have a very good run at Charlotte earlier this season but we feel confident in this car as a whole and hope to have a better run this time around."
