Kurt Busch on racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"We've got to get back on track this week. We've had some tough finishes over the past month, so we need to get back to the basics and finish these races to pick up some points. The IRWIN team has been building some great cars, and the over the wall guys have been giving us some great pit stops, it's just a matter of it all coming together at the end.
"I hate what happened last week. I've talked to Greg (Biffle), and I know we're both ready to get back on the track in a points race and work with each other like teammates should. It was a lesson learned for me, but we're both past it and ready for what's next."
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"The car we had last week was pretty good, and we think this car is a little better, so we're looking forward to getting it out on the race track. We've gone from first to ninth in the points in the past month or so, but we've got a great team and a terrific driver, so we know it won't take much to get us right back in the hunt."
Fast Facts
Kurt Busch's streak of five race weeks in the top five in NEXTEL Cup Point standings ended with a faulty alternator belt in Richmond. However, Busch's streak in the top ten continues.
Busch has not recorded a top-10 finish in seven career starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway, but has managed four finishes among the top 15, including 15th in last year's Coca-Cola 600.
Busch is running the IRWIN Industrial Tools paint scheme for the ninth of 19 events in 2004.
Busch has extra incentive to run well during the Coca-Cola 600 to benefit low-income families. For a top five-finish, IRWIN will donate $10,000 in product to the charitable foundation Rebuilding Together, and $20,000 for a win.
