May 30, 2004, FOX Television, 5:00 p.m. ET

Texaco/Havoline Racing Fast Facts:

The Return of Chassis #307: Crew Chief Donnie Wingo and the Texaco/Havoline team are bringing chassis #307 to compete in the Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. This is the same car McMurray competed with last weekend in the NEXTEL Open, finishing third after leading 20 of the 30 laps. Chassis #307 competed eight times during the second half of the 2003 season, posting two top-five and five top-10 finishes.

McMurray Notes: McMurray heads into the Coca-Cola 600 sitting 13th in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup points, 128 points out of the NASCAR Top 10. The Joplin, Mo. native has posted two top-five and seven top-10 finishes through the first 11 races of the 2004 season.

“Drive for a Cure”: McMurray continues to raise money and awareness for the Autism Society of America. As a result of McMurray leading 20 laps last weekend in the NEXTEL Open, he was able to raise $840 for his “Drive for a Cure” campaign. With pledge matches from ChevronTexaco and Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, a total of $2,520 was raised during the NEXTEL Open. So far in 2004, $17,640 has been raised for the Autism Society of America. McMurray is donating $42 for every lap he leads in 2004.

McMurray will be pulling double duty this weekend as he will pilot the No. 1 Dodge in Saturday’s NASCAR Busch Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Jamie McMurray Quotes:

Thoughts on Coca-Cola 600: “Obviously, the Coca-Cola 600 is the longest race of the year for us. You start the race during the day and end at night, so handling is very important since Charlotte is such a temperature sensitive racetrack. We’re taking the same car we ran last weekend in the NEXTEL Open and were very competitive, so I’m pretty excited about heading into Charlotte this weekend. It always feels good to head back to Charlotte after our win there two years ago.”

Career Best Start: First at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 16, 2003
Career Best Finish: First at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on October 13, 2002
Last Top-Five Finish: Fourth at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 7, 2004
Last Top-10 Finish: Ninth at Talladega Superspeedway on April 25, 2004
