Greg Biffle on racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
“Last weekend’s performances in both cars is just what we needed, especially on the Cup side. Our cars have been good all season; we just haven’t been able to get the results. Last weekend showed what the No. 16 National Guard team is capable of and I foresee a lot more of that in the future. The win in the Busch car was awesome. It’s nice to go somewhere, show up with no laps in the car and win a race. Brad, Mike (McLaughlin) and the guys did a great job setting up the car. I couldn’t be prouder of the effort everyone put forth last weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to heading to Indianapolis this weekend. We’ve got momentum on our side and I think we’ll be strong. We had a good test there last month and I’d really like to get a top five at the Brickyard. IRP has been a good track for us over the years and we’re taking the same car we won with in 2002. I’m sure it will be equally as good and hopefully we can get back to back wins in the Charter Ford.”
Crew Chief Doug Richert on racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
"We're taking RK 226 because we tested it in Indy a few weeks ago and of the two cars we tested, it had a better feel for Greg. This car has basically the same body and aero package as the car we finished fourth with last week at Pocono but because we tested it, there is no chance of tire rub or chassis rub. The test just takes a lot of guessing out of practice for us.
"It was really encouraging last week to have a result that this team deserves. We've raced in the top five all year and it was great to bring home a top-five finish. Pocono and Indy are similar in that they are both fast, flat tracks but Indy has four distinct corners. There is a lot of history at Indy and a win there would be great, but any competitive race team wants to win no matter where the race is.”
