Elliott Sadler Ends Season of Dreams in Homestead

Elliott Sadler has achieved much success throughout 2004 as he enjoyed the best season of his NASCAR NEXTEL Cup career. By finishing in the top 10, Sadler earned himself a place on the stage at the Waldorf-Astoria for the Awards Banquet on December 3rd. Heading into the last race of the season, Sadler has scored two wins and earned eight top fives and 14 top-10s - also career highs. Elliott is currently ninth in the championship point standings.

QUOTING M&M’S® DRIVER ELLIOTT SADLER: “This M&M’S team had a great test at Homestead a few weeks ago and we’ve got a rocket of a car. It would mean a lot to this team and the guys who work on these cars every week back at the shop to end this season with a great finish. Since we are mathematically eliminated from the NEXTEL Cup Championship I am looking forward to seeing how this battle will shape up. My money has been on Jeff Gordon all season but I think he has some competition with Jimmie Johnson and Kurt Busch. This playoff system has really made for exciting racing and the Ford 400 should be sold out. I think its cool that this championship is going to come down to the final lap.”

We've run into some bad luck as of recently and we need to show what we are made of this weekend in Homestead. I'm confident that Elliott and Todd and the M&M'S crew will be strong in Homestead. We had a great test there and I can't think of a better way to end the season than with another win.”
