JEREMY MAYFIELD QUOTES
“I’m definitely looking forward to Dover. We got caught up in someone else’s mess last weekend, so we’re excited to get right back to a racetrack that we feel really good about. We started on the pole and led a lot of laps here in the spring, and we finished second in this race last year. We know we’ve got a great Dodge coming back here, and we’re going to pick up right where we left off in June. This team hasn’t give up all year, and they’re not going to give up now. We’ve been knocked down before, but we bounced back.
“Track position is everything at Dover. The guy that starts up front has got the lead and has got clean air all day. That’s just where we want to be.”

The qualifying record was the second of three records set by Evernham Motorsports this season (Kahne – Las Vegas, Mayfield – Dover, Kahne – Pocono.)
THE CHASE IS ON

IN GOOD STANDING
After qualifying for NASCAR’s 2004 Chase for the Nextel Cup, Mayfield clinched a top-10 season ranking for the second time in his career. Mayfield finished the 1998 season in a career-high seventh place championship ranking.
MAYFIELD ROCKS & ROLLS AT RICHMOND!!
Mayfield earned his fourth career victory (first since Pocono-a 6/19/00), and first with Evernham Motorsports when he took the checkered flag at Richmond this month.
The victory was also the first for Team Director, Kenny Francis.
