On Darlington:
“We are taking the same Cingular Wireless Chevrolet to Darlington that we raced in Atlanta. It’s a good race car and handles well. That’s what Darlington is all about, handling and managing your tires. Just like Rockingham, you are not going to see anything at Darlington that you haven’t seen in the past when it comes to tires and the little mileage they will be able to get, but the new safer barriers Darlington had installed are going to probably create a different story. That track is so narrow that the new wall is definitely going to affect the high groove that many of us run. I welcome the walls and think they are a tremendous benefit to the sport and applaud all tracks that are working to make this sport as safe as possible. But, I think there is going to be more paint left on those walls Sunday and more cars with the infamous Darlington stripe, than you have ever seen before.”
