Michael Waltrip will compete in his ninth NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race at California Speedway on Sunday night where he will look for his third top-10 run and his first top-five run at the 1.5-mile speedway. His best finish was seventh two years ago in his current ride with Dale Earnhardt, Inc.

This Week's Race Car is Chassis #28. This is the same car Waltrip ran in the All-Star race finishing fourth, the Coke 600 where he finished second, Michigan International Speedway in June where he finished 10th Chicagoland Speedway where he finished ninth and most recently again in Michigan (August race) where Waltrip finished 17th.
