Kurt Busch on racing at Chicagoland Speedway:
"Chicago feels like a second home to me, and this is a great market for our team. It holds a lot of value to win here, and it’s especially a good place for us to do well with our sponsor's base being so close. Chicagoland Speedway is a great race track. Every part of the race track is round and you are continually turning. The back straightaway has a nice curve to it and allows for a good exit out of turn two and a more challenging entrance into turn three. With the 18 degree banking, it’s also a place where you can drive it into a corner deep and stand on the gas hard. And despite being similar to other tracks, this tri-oval has its own attitude, characteristics and when you go to Chicago you know you’re going there and no where else."
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Chicagoland Speedway:
“We are bringing the same car to Chicago that we had in Las Vegas. We took it to Kentucky a few weeks ago to test, and Kurt’s really comfortable with the car. The No. 97 has had some good runs here. Kurt had two top-tens in his first two trips to this track, and had a good car last year before we had a motor failure, so we’re looking forward to a good run here this weekend.”
