Sylvania 300 - Jason Leffler Notes

Jason Leffler will make his 38th NASCAR Winston Cup start and sixth for the NetZero HiSpeed racing team this weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway. Leffler will drive all of the remaining races on the 2003 scheduled for the Haas CNC Racing team.

JASON LEFFLER ON RACING IN LOUDON…”Loudon hasn’t always been my best track, but we had some success there getting the pole and leading a bunch of laps in the Truck Series race last year. Hopefully that will help me when we get there this weekend. I think it’s just a matter of the more laps you run on every track the better you’ll eventually be - pretty simple really. We had a good weekend last week in Richmond even though we didn’t finish as well as we probably should have. We’ve put together some strong runs in the last couple of weeks and the communication between everybody on the team is really coming together. I look forward to going anywhere with Tony (Furr, crew chief) and the Haas CNC Racing team right now. I’m really excited about the future.

“New Hampshire International Speedway is a challenging track. The Bahre’s have put a lot of time and effort into making it as good and as safe as it can be. They repaved it and made it a little wider on the bottom since I’ve last been there and they have installed the SAFER walls. It will be interesting to get out there during the first couple laps of practice Friday. It will make it a little easier to pass maybe, but it will still be tough. Qualifying is important in Loudon because it’s so tough to pass and then during the race you’ve really got to depend on the pit crew to get you as close to the front as possible. I’m looking forward to getting there. I think this team is up for the challenge.”
