New England 300 - Michael Waltrip Notes

Michael Waltrip (best start at NHIS was 8th in1999 and best finish was 8th in 2002):
"It's a homecoming for the NAPA team to go to New Hampshire International Speedway. The team is led by Slugger Labbe and Pete Rondeau, both from that area, as well as several other of the no.15's core members. I know it would be special, and I'd love to give them something to celebrate in their own backyard. We go to Loudon expecting to run well based on our last race there when we finished eighth. We are going to run the same car and look forward to even better results."

Slugger:
"We have not raced this car since it ran in last year's September race at NHIS. We put a new body on it, so basically it is a new car. We are going back with virtually the same set up as last year. We qualified well and raced pretty decent. They repaved the track and the folks that tested there have said it has a few more challenges than in the past, but we'll have to make our own decisions once we get up there."

"You always hear about people going home and wanting to win at their home tracks and I feel the same way - it would mean a lot to be in Loudon's victory lane. More than that, I look forward to running well every week. Loudon, Martinsville or Atlanta, it doesn't matter. I want to give Michael the best car he has ever driven every single week and contend for the win every time the green flag waves."
