ELLIOTT SADLER READY FOR ROBERT YATES RACING REVIVAL AT ROCKINGHAM
ELLIOTT SADLER QUOTES:
“I love to race at Rockingham. We did really well there in the Busch Series and there is a lot of history in racing there. It’s a driver’s racetrack – meaning you can run on the bottom, the middle or at the top of the racetrack. It’s great for the fans and for the drivers because at the end of the day it’s the driver with the best handling and fastest car that wins. We tested there earlier this year and were real happy with the results.”
“Rockingham and Darlington are the two hardest tracks on tires. The surface is sandblasted and abrasive causing times to fall off by the seconds in a matter of a couple of laps. We had an awesome hot rod last time at the Rock – I feel like that track owes us one.”
VIEW FROM THE PIT BOX WITH CREW CHIEF TODD PARROTT:
“The #88 team won there last spring. I imagine the two teams will run well again. We just need to race smart and be there at the finish. Hopefully the cards will fall in our favor.”
VIEW FROM THE SPOTTER STAND WITH BRETT GRIFFIN:
“Elliott had one of the best cars at Rockingham in the spring. Unfortunately we had to go to the rear on a couple of occasions due to various reasons. He probably passed more cars than anyone else that day and we ended up with a top 10. This is a great race to spot because of the multi-groove surface. It's probably one of the best races all year. This will be the last year that we'll run 2 races at The Rock so I'd really like to win this thing. Growing up I’ve been going to see races at Rockingham for a long time and it would mean a lot to get a win there.”
