Subway 400 - Jack Sprague Notes

JACK SPRAGUE ON SUBWAY 400
“These first few races are tough on a new team without points to fall back on to get into the race. That fifth race will be a big relief for us. We certainly don’t want to go home from Rockingham or any race for that matter. That’s the big thing right now. We want to keep the NetZero Pontiac in every race and learn everything we can about the tracks and our cars. We ran pretty well in the Busch car both races at Rockingham last year. We qualified and finished in the Top-10 both times. We also ran the Cup race there in the fall and even though we didn’t finish as well as we would have liked, we ran a lot of laps and learned a lot about the track. We had a great test there earlier this month, so I am looking forward to going back.”

SPRAGUE ON THE TRANSITION TO WINSTON CUP…
“The Winston Cup car is a little different than the Busch car. It’s probably back closer to the trucks, which I’m used to. As we were testing throughout the winter and again racing last week at Daytona, I find myself relating these Cup cars more back to a couple of years with the Trucks than to the Busch cars we ran last year.”
