Bill Davis Racing is bringing in some new personnel to augment its current departments. Derek Finley joined Bill Davis Racing as a new engineer. “Anytime you can bring in someone with great experience and knowledge to help build one of our programs, you can’t go wrong. We’re always looking for new ways to improve our programs and the input they provide is invaluable.”

Cat equipment for the GFS Marketplace 400…
“We’ll returning to Michigan International Speedway with the same car we raced with at Chicagoland,” according to Stoddard. “It is car #76 and it ran very well at Chicagoland. We got the car to Ward’s liking in the last two runs and made a strong finish with the car. We just needed to get it running better in the first run. Maybe we can unload and be good right off the truck.”

Ward Burton and #22 team will test at Darlington Raceway next week…
Burton and the #22 Caterpillar team will test at Darlington Raceway next Tuesday and Wednesday in preparation for the last Labor Day weekend Southern 500. Burton, the 2001 Southern 500 Champion, is looking to claim the last historical event at the track before losing the date to a later weekend in the schedule. Darlington Raceway has been a track that hosts a lot of memories, some recent and others from childhood that Burton reflects on often.
