"I know that we can go to Michigan and run well. We're bringing our Texas
car, but they cut the nose off to make it just like the car we ran at
Chicago and I loved that car. It's one of my favorites, so I hope this one
is as good."
- Kenny Wallace, driver of the No. 23 Stacker 2 Dodge
MICHIGAN INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
GFS MARKETPLACE 400
LOPEZ ON THIS WEEK'S RACE IN MICHIGAN.
"We took our Texas car and made it better. We hired Derrick Finley to be
our engineer and he has already made a huge impact. He plotted the chassis
and according to his plots, the chassis is geometrically stable. We should
run very well if our race in Chicago is any indication. We ran very well
there, we just didn't get the finish after running 13th all day. We had a
flat tire and pitted then the caution came out and we were two laps down.
We just never recovered."
