Stewart Wins Under the Lights at LMS
Tony Stewart put the Home Depot Chevrolet in victory lane at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway, winning the UAW-GM Quality 500 on Saturday night under the lights. Newman, who started the event from the pole, finished in the second position, .608 seconds behind Stewart. Jimmie Johnson, looking for the season sweep at LMS, brought his Lowe’s Chevrolet home in the third spot. Bill Elliott finished fourth, his second straight top-five finish, while Jeff Gordon came home in fifth.
