SADLER AND M&M'S TEAM BELIEVE THERE'S HOPE IN HOMESTEAD
ELLIOTT SADLER'S VIEW FROM THE DRIVER SEAT:
"The race at Homestead is going to be a good one. I am looking forward to trying out the new configuration. They have added 20 degrees of banking - its actually a progressive banking, 18,19, and 20 degrees. It is supposed to create two racing grooves. I don't know what kind of setup we will use - track time during the test on Wednesday will determine that.
"I have also been given a great opportunity from Busch team owners Sam and Ed Rensi. I haven't run a Busch car since they went to this new rules package- actually since 2000. I am looking forward to a fun time and hopefully working with Bobby (Hamilton) Jr. we can bring it home one, two. It's going to be fun and I will get a little more track time to help me with my Cup car.
"This is also the last race for Winston. It's like the end of an era with them. RJ Reynolds has been good to everyone and they will be missed. Thanks Winston for a great run."
VIEW FROM THE PIT BOX WITH CREW CHIEF TODD PARROTT:
"The test will help us figure out what we need for Sunday. We want a solid finish, maybe jump a few spots in the points, and take that momentum forward to next year."
VIEW FROM THE SPOTTER STAND WITH BRETT GRIFFIN:
"I'm looking forward to spotting the race at Homestead this weekend. I'll be spending plenty of time on the roof since Elliott is running a Busch and Cup car so come Sunday I should be ready to go. I've played the new Homestead track on the X-box so I'm really looking forward to seeing it in person. It should be fast with a lot of grip and hopefully the progressive banking will make it a multi-groove racing surface from the get-go."
