Wimmer on Dover: Scott Wimmer, driver of the No. 27 Bill Davis Racing Chevrolet and the No. 23 Stacker 2/YJ Stinger Chevrolet, prepares to run his second double duty event of the year. Wimmer has an average finish of 7.8 in five Busch starts at Dover, and he is also the defending race winner, as he scored his first career NASCAR Busch Series win there last fall.

"Dover will always be special to me since I won my very first Busch race there," said Wimmer. "I think it is such a neat track; I like the size.a one-mile, high-banked oval, which makes it really fast and fun to drive. The track is forgiving in the sense that you can move around a lot to find different grooves to make your car work. However, the reason it is named "The Monster Mile" is the track is so fast and it becomes so narrow off the corners that you can get into trouble. If you hit the outside wall you are pretty much guaranteed to hit the inside wall as well, so if you wreck, you probably won't be able to fix your car."

"I'm really excited to get back to Dover," said Wimmer. "Our Bill Davis Racing team tends to have a great fall setup, but for some reason, we're not as good in the spring. Hopefully, we can put the same package in it this time and be just as fast. It would also be really special to put the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger car in the Stacker 200 Victory Lane."

Race Sponsorship and Special Paint Scheme: NVE Pharmaceuticals (producers of Stacker 2 and YJ Stinger) have teamed with Dover International Raceway to sponsor the September 20th NASCAR Busch Series race. The event is now named "The Stacker 200 Presented by YJ Stinger." In addition to the title sponsorship, both Kenny Wallace's No. 23 NASCAR Winston Cup car and Scott Wimmer's No. 23 NASCAR Busch Series car will sport a special paint scheme featuring Stacker 2's newest product, YJ Stinger. YJ Stinger is Stacker 2's extreme energy drink, totally ephedra-free and available in three lightly carbonated flavors: Sinful Citrus, Pounding Punch and Enraged Raspberry. Enraged Raspberry is also available in a Sugar Free formula.

Stacker 2 will have several celebrity guests in attendance for Saturday's race. From the WWE, wrestler, Chris Jerrico, a.k.a. Y2J, will be on hand. Also, attending from HBO's "The Sopranos," is Jeff Marchetti ("Petey"), Joe Gannascoli ("Vito Spatafore") and Vince Curatola ("Johnny Sack"). Curatola will sing the National Anthem during pre-race festivities.

Lion's Den Decal: Both Stacker 2 cars (No. 23 NWC and No. 23 NBS) are sporting a special decal "The Lion's Den" this weekend. This program pays tribute to the fallen firefighters of Station 23 FDNY (Midtown Manhattan). The name of their station is "The Lion's Den." Through the common grief following September 11, 2001, a special bond was created between Station 23 FDNY and Station 23, Grand Terrace (San Bernardino County FD) in Grand Terrace, California. The two have become "sister stations" and Station 23, Grand Terrace, has since adopted the name "The Lion's Den" in honor of the fallen firefighters. "The Lion's Den" decal being placed on the BDR No. 23 Busch and Cup cars features both "sister stations" and will be included on the team cars throughout the month of September. The tracks included will be Richmond, New Hampshire (Cup only), Dover and Talladega (Cup only). AT DOVER, FDNY FIRE CAPTAIN JOHN BENEDICT WILL BE ON HAND TO PARTICIPATE IN PRE-RACE FESTIVITES.

Busy Off-Weekend: Wimmer's been very busy since the Busch Series raced two weeks ago at Richmond. On his off-weekend, Wimmer competed in the Winston Cup event at New Hampshire International Speedway where he started 35th and finished 24th. After Loudon, he went to Atlanta on Monday to help promote the upcoming Busch race at Atlanta Motor Speedway next month. From Atlanta, he flew directly to Wausau, Wisconsin, his hometown, to spend time with his family and go hunting before heading to Dover for the race weekend.

Happy Birthday! Team owner, Gail Davis, celebrates her birthday on Friday, Sept. 19th

NWC Equipment: Wimmer and the No. 27 team are taking same car to Dover that they competed with during the Bristol Winston Cup event in August and the team has put a new body on it.

NBS Equipment: Wimmer and the No. 23 Stacker 2/YJ Stinger team are taking the same car to Dover that they competed with earlier this year at Loudon where it finished fifth and at both Nashville Superspeedway races, where in the April race it was running in the top-10 before getting taken out by a lap car and in the June race it finished eighth. The last race it competed in was at Bristol fall where it was involved in an accident.

Appearances: Wimmer will make appearances at the following locations during the Dover race weekend:
· Friday, Sept. 19th from 7:10 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. on "Trackside" broadcast live from the Dover infield.
· Friday, Sept. 19th from 7:40 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on MRN's show broadcast live from the Dover Casino.
· Sunday, Sept. 20th at the Stacker 2/YJ Stinger display trailer located on Dover International Speedway property. Approximately from 9:10 a.m. - 9:20 a.m.
