MBNA America 400 * Dover Int'l Speedway * Sunday, September 21,
2003
Kurt Busch
Team: No. 97 Rubbermaid Ford Taurus
Sponsors: Rubbermaid
Owner: Jack Roush
Driver: Kurt Busch
Crew Chief: Jimmy Fennig
Chassis Number: 46 * raced at Dover in June and won both Bristol
races
Kurt Busch on racing at Dover:
"Dover is a great racetrack that allows some real racing to occur.
You can run up high when you need to and dive down low when the time
calls for it. You basically need to plant that chassis to the bottom of
the racetrack and get good forward bite off the corners. If you can
accomplish that for 400 laps, you'll be smiling when it's over.
We'll be running the Rubbermaid Commercial Products paint scheme
and I tend to have a good day when we're running a special scheme. I
hope Sunday is one of them."
Crew Chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Dover:
"We're bringing one of our 'money' cars here to Dover/it's
the one that we used during both Bristol wins. This car tends to respond
to changes very predictably and it doesn't dart around very much in
the corners. I think we have a good plan fo
r this weekend/but it
looks like Mother Nature has some plans of her own, so we'll see who
wins that one."
